Frequently asked questions

How much does catering cost per person?

As a guide, finger food costs about €18 to €32, a buffet €28 to €50 and a plated three-course menu €45 to €85 per person for the food, incl. VAT. Organic ingredients add roughly 10 to 35 % depending on the share. Staff, drinks and tableware usually come on top. The calculator above shows the range for your event.

How can I tell genuine organic catering?

Anyone selling food as organic in Germany needs organic certification. Look for the organic control number in the format DE-ÖKO-0xx on the quote or invoice. Without it, “organic” is usually just a marketing claim.

How do caterers get into the directory?

Basic listings come from publicly available Google Places data (as of Oct 2026), filtered for a clear catering focus. We only show features such as organic or vegan when the business name or Google category clearly states them. Caterers can claim, update or remove their listing.

Do you forward my request to caterers?

No, not automatically. The “Find a caterer” form goes to our editorial team. We get back to you with suitable caterers from the directory, and you decide whom to contact.
