sustainable-catering.eu is an independent directory of catering with standards in Germany: organic, vegan and vegetarian, regional and seasonal. It is for anyone planning a wedding, corporate event, conference or business lunch, and for people running canteens, schools, daycare centres and public kitchens who want more sustainable food services.

- A guide covering costs, organic certification, reusables, food waste, quality standards and public catering tenders.
Where the data comes from
Basic listings come from publicly available Google Places API data (as of Oct 2026): name, address, phone, website, category and the average rating with count. We do not copy review texts or photos. Results were strictly filtered: only businesses with a clear catering focus in their name or category were included, no pure restaurants, no delivery chains and no bakery branches.
How we assign features
We only show features such as organic, vegan or regional when the business name or Google category clearly states them or the business has provided proof, for organic for example the organic control number. For all other listings we claim nothing. This also means a listing without features may still cook excellent organic or vegan food. If in doubt, ask.
How we are funded
The basic listing is free. Caterers can book a premium package for more visibility. Premium affects the order on city pages, but not the guide content and not the details of other businesses. We do not forward enquiries or sell contact data.
About this domain
From about 2013 to 2016 the address sustainable-catering.eu hosted the website of the EU-funded project INNOCAT, which dealt with sustainable public procurement of catering services. The domain later expired and was re-registered in 2026 by the operator of this website. There is no legal, organisational or editorial connection between this portal and the former project, its partners or funders. We continue the topics of sustainable public catering and catering tenders in our own, newly written guide.
